Barrel Sharp Edged 5.0 mm is a professional diamond drill bit designed for pedicure and podology procedures. It is suitable for working on toenails, including shortening the nail length and reducing the thickness of the nail plate.

The sharp-edged barrel shape provides effective contact with the working surface, allowing the technician to remove excess nail material quickly and precisely. It can also be used to clean keratosis from the toe pads and lateral nail folds.

For the best result, it is important to choose the optimal size and grit level according to the procedure, the condition of the nail plate, and the skin type. To extend the service life of the bit, clean it thoroughly from epidermis and nail dust after each use, preferably with an ultrasonic cleaner. Proper sterilization rules should also be followed to prevent damage to the instrument.

Cleaning and Sterilization

After each use, the bit must be properly cleaned, disinfected and sterilized:

1. 1. Clean the bit using an ultrasonic cleaner or a brush.

2. 2. Soak it in a disinfectant solution according to the instructions on the disinfectant packaging.

3. 3. Rinse under running water; distilled water is preferable.

4. 4. Dry on a clean towel.

5. 5. Sterilize using a dry-heat sterilizer, autoclave or glass bead sterilizer, as with any professional manicure instrument.
